The Storm Within

O child, O sufferer of sorrows
The waves call you nigh
Pleading for you to command the tide
Drifting and gusting like the wild summer wind
Yearning for you, my child, to clutch your might
Tame the storm within

O farer of thou, see within
Find what you seek, lying therein
It speaks to you of the dangers to come, fears brimming
Yet, wisdom to see the pearl, is harder to earn and seldom in keeping

O child, O farer of thou, see within
The wind is gusting outward and the tide sinking in
Tug the sail, loosen the ropes, beware of yee wearing thin

O child of the wretched
O child of the turmoil
O child of the weary and weathering
Farewell to thee
For you shall live and perish all the same
For that is how, yee shall tame the storm within
